  • The Fifties were, in many ways, the era of the new cool. A new type of music called rock and roll emerged and was in the process of causing a youth revolution. At the same time, other forms of music were firmly entrenched, including jazz and folk. Would these disparate genres ever come together? A young man named Walden Robert Cassotto accepted that challenge and became Bobby Darin, the epitome of 1950s cool. Ever energetic and committed to his dream of stardom, Darin went from the Bronx to the Copacabana and the biggest casinos of Las Vegas. At only twenty-three years old, he became the youngest performer to headline a Vegas showroom by performing at The Sands. Inspired by Bobby Darin himself and particularly his song “Splish Splash,” the Rubadub incorporates opalescent glass of glowing sea hues in a vintage-inspired design, reminiscent of bubbles. Orli says, “Seriously, who else could have written a song about taking a bath within an hour and turned it into a single that sold upwards of a million copies?”
